Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas ya'll! It's only the best holiday of the year. I've already finished my Christmas baking, and I can't wait to spend tomorrow cooking and watching Christmas movies. I wore this Taylor dress last year as a skirt. It's one of my favorite party dresses, and the fit and flare style is quite flattering. Check out other dresses from Taylor here. Have an amazingly festive Christmas!

A little behind the scenes outtake. My timer went off as I was tossing my camera bag aside.

Christmas Shopping for Him

12.22.2014

Christmas is only 3 days away! Have you crossed everyone off your shopping list yet? If not, here are some last minute gift ideas for the men in your life or for yourself.

1- Three in One Leather Backpack can be worn as backpack, messenger bag, or carry as briefcase.

2- Love this Fossil watch. I almost bought one for myself.

3- Hershel Backpack.

4- Band of Outsiders Tie

5- I own and love this Timex Weekender Watch. I wear it with everything, and get compliments on it all the time. It comes in other colors, and the best part is that it's under $40 on Amazon.

6- Asos Desert Boots with shearling lining to keep warm.

7- Hemetic Utility Wrap Organizer. The photo on the right is what this Utility wrap looks like rolled up. I stumbled across Hemetic Trading Co. at the American Field event a month ago. You can store random items neatly with this organizer and keep them from getting wet, since the material is waterproof. The entire site is 20% off, and all of their products are American made.

Gift Guide For Her: the Gap edition

12.11.2014

Still working on your holiday shopping list? I'm here to help! Here's a Gap edition of the gift guide for her. All regular priced items are 30% off their website and stores right now!

1- Love love love these boots. Black, leather, low heeled, and practical. Wear them with EVERYTHING!

2- Burgundy calf hair tech gloves are perfect for the busy career women on the go.

3-Festive pom-pom honeycomb beanie. I own this hat and it keeps my head and ears super warm.

4- Chunky Fair Isle Scarf

5- Calf Hair Wristlet Clutch. I saw the black version of this clutch on a heightened display shelf and couldn't find it in on the sales floor. But a salesperson found the burgundy version, and let me tell you, I SWOONED when I saw it. Burgundy calf hair on one side, black leather on the other, strap for your wrist, pocket and card slots on the inside. SOLD.

6- Quilted slippers to keep those tootsies warm.

7-Every woman needs a leather tote bag. This Gap one is lightweight and come in a variety of colors.

8- These Maximum Heat Tights are a must have! They will save your legs from the frigid temperature when wearing skirts and dresses. I wore these tights today in 30 degree weather, and barely felt the cold.

All regular priced items are 30% off on the website and in stores. Happy Shopping!

Happy New Year folks! I'm a little late, but this was my Christmas outfit. It was too cold to wear a sleeveless dress, so I turned my dress into separates by layering a turtleneck on top. If you need a dress for an occasion, I highly recommend that you check out Taylor's dresses. They make great fit and flare dresses, and are sometimes sold at Marshall's.

Truth be told, I'm glad that 2013 is over; it was a rough year for me. Life threw a lot of curve balls testing me emotionally and mentally. This year I'd really like to work on growing as a creative individual, an adult, a woman, a blogger, a kick ass person, and the best version of myself possible. Cheers to a new year and a new attitude!

Holiday Outfit Inspiration

12.29.2013

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm so sorry for how quiet the blog has been lately, but I had to take a hiatus because I've been so busy. However, you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pintereset to see what I'm up to! But I'm back and will be blogging regularly now.

Christmas may be over (which makes me sad) but I'm sure you still have holiday parties to attend and New Years is right around the corner.

This dark green jacquard dress paired with the tortoise necklace gives off a glamorous, vintage vibe. And don't forget that burgundy and purple compliment dark green beautifully. Line your lips with Mac's Viva Glam I and you are party ready!

A red dress and green bow bumps has festive written all over it. The great thing about this dress is that the color and print are appropriate for every season and a variety of occasions. You can wear this dress on a date, to a graduation party, a wedding or a baptism. And how fun is that beaded pearl clutch?

If you need a last a minute NYE outfit, I highly encourage you to check out Joe Fresh, Zara, H&M, Banana Republic, and Zara right now. They are all having big sales. Everything in Mango is 50% off. I don't often shop at Banana Republic, but I checked out their 40% off sale and was impressed. Their sale items were also an additional 40% off, so I scored a pair of flats that I've been lusting after for $20 when they were originally $110. Nothing makes me happier than a bargain!

I went to a Zara store when their sale started and everything in my size was still in stock. Zara lowers the prices as their sale goes on, but waiting for something to go on further discount is a bad idea since Zara's sale items go fast. I got this dress and pair of shoes. The shoes were originally $100, and I got them for $70 which is not a significant discount, but they were the last pair left, and are much cheaper than the Schutz look a like. I'm pretty sure I gasped when I saw them and discovered they were my size. I held onto those babies for dear life. I can't wait to wear them when the weather gets warmer. Don't mind the dirty mirror in Zara below. Happy shopping folks!
