Ladies who lunch: Paisley Tunic

There's something about this Zara dress that always makes me think of ladies who don floppy hats, and lunch on a patio overlooking a marina. This is an incredibly easy piece to transition from day to night. The silk material and paisley print already make this dress festive, so for night time I would just pile on some gold bracelets, and freshen up my lipstick.
Crochet Sweater and Floral Shorts

I wore this a few weeks ago when it was still warm enough to wear shorts and too hot to wear a sweater. I almost forgot I had these shorts. I found them in the back of my closet, and figured the bright floral print would compliment my crocheted sweater, and GH Bass oxfords.

Summer isn't just beach season, it's also wedding season. A time where couples proclaim their love for each other and say their I do's. Recently, I attended my friend's wedding. I'm so happy that I had the honor of celebrating Dana's big day with her and Joey. She made a beautiful bride and looked like such a princess! I kept expecting a horse drawn carriage to pop up any second like in Cinderella.
The colors for the flower arrangements were summery and tasteful. The food was really delicious, and the meals just kept on coming. It was a feast, truly an Italian style wedding in regards to cuisine.

I opted to wear this bright floral dress since it was a summer wedding. Not only did the floral pattern of this Zara dress catch my eye, but I was also drawn to the extra panels of fabric of the skirt portion. The pockets are also a bonus!

Cheers to another year! My birthday was last week, so in honor of my birthday, it was only appropriate that I don a pretty outfit and some balloons.

Can you believe that this is the first time I've worn this crop top since buying it a year ago? Crop tops can be intimidating for those who don't like exposing their midriff. But they work so well when paired with a high waist bottom like the skirt I'm wearing. Make sure to choose a high waist bottom that is a little longer in length. You don't want to wear a short top and a short bottom. It's all about juxtaposition. I almost forgot to mention how I made a mad dash for the closest Zara when I saw that this skirt went on sale. It was definitely too pretty to pass up.
The groovy chick is my friend Aarong. We spent college dancing to funk music while cooking in down jackets and gloves. We went on adventures around campus at 3am in a foot of snow. There wouldn't be a single soul in sight except for deer, and our footprints. And we'd marvel at how beautiful everything looked covered in a blanket of snow, and listen to the sound of the snow crunch under our feet. And how could I forget her sense of artistic vision and shared interest in fashion? This girl has casual, effortless style down to a science. I'll never forget the day she rolled out of her room wearing a hoodie, a chiffon dress, gray tights and sneakers. I took one look at her, and was confused by her outfit, but somehow it worked. Only Aarong could pull something off like that and make it look cool.

We met this sweet pitbull who was all about rolling in the grass. Look at that face!
I had a case of the butterfingers and the balloons slipped from my grasp. It was a tragic moment with lots of yelling.

You can wear this dress on a date, to a graduation party, a wedding or a baptism. And how fun is that beaded pearl clutch?

I don't often shop at Banana Republic, but I checked out their 40% off sale and was impressed. Their sale items were also an additional 40% off, so I scored a pair of flats that I've been lusting after for $20 when they were originally $110. Nothing makes me happier than a bargain!
I went to a Zara store when their sale started and everything in my size was still in stock. Zara lowers the prices as their sale goes on, but waiting for something to go on further discount is a bad idea since Zara's sale items go fast. I got this dress and pair of shoes. The shoes were originally $100, and I got them for $70 which is not a significant discount, but they were the last pair left, and are much cheaper than the Schutz look a like. I'm pretty sure I gasped when I saw them and discovered they were my size. I held onto those babies for dear life. I can't wait to wear them when the weather gets warmer. Don't mind the dirty mirror in Zara below. Happy shopping folks!

You can never go wrong with anything that's moto style. It makes you look instantly cool. Extra points if it's leather. I doubled up on moto for this outfit to achieve a cool and casual look.

I wore this outfit for a night of quiet clubbing with Jami and Hector this past Saturday. I was originally going to wear a t-shirt, jeans, and boots because I wanted to be comfortable, but I didn't want to pass up a chance to get dressed up.
For those unfamiliar with quiet clubbing, you're given a set of headphones to listen to the music. You can switch back and forth between stations to listen to different DJ's. And you can tell which DJ people are listening to by the color of the light on their headphones. It felt a little silly and odd at first because I would take off my headphones and hear everyone singing a different song. But if I didn't like one station, I could switch to another one. And since everyone was listening to music on their headphones, it wasn't so loud that I had to scream over the music to be heard. All I had to do was take off my headphones!

The first time I saw this top on Jade from A Spoonful of Style, I searched high and low for it in Gap. I found it in an XS which is my normal size, but the last button was a bit snug, and it was shorter than I liked. But I couldn't pass it up because of the lovely high ruffled collar, the print, and color.
Leather has always been in style, but it's become increasingly trendy within the last few years. Leather trimmed collar, sleeves, pockets, elbow patches, seams, etc. And although I do like leather, I had my doubts about purchasing a faux leather skirt. I admire them on other people, but wasn't sure if it was something I would wear repeatedly. You know my rule about not purchasing something unless I know that I can style it several ways. But this quilted faux leather skirt was a steal for $13, so I knew it was coming home with me!
That's my sister, Jami. She's kind of awesome, especially since she let me have her Ferrero Rocher chocolates when we were kids.
By the way, have you seen the Face-kini? It's the latest beach craze in China.
